Meet the developer behind the latest YGG

About two months ago I decided that I wanted to focus on my online ventures and make them the priority of 2007. To do that I figured I’d need to find a developer that could handle the technical aspects while I focus on the creative end.

So I posted a request for help on Programmer Meet Designer. In less than a day I got one reply. Some Alaskan fellow named Brandon. I replied to his comment immediately, we swapped e-mails and it all began.

Less than a month ago, Eric and I decided that YGG was due for a revamp. So we asked Brandon if he’d be interested in working with us on this project. With no hesitation, he gave us a huge “SURE.

We gave him a rough idea of what we were looking to do and sent over some mockups to help illustrate our madness a little better. Over the course of about two weeks we we’re blown away each day.

Brandon is the sixth or so developer that I’ve worked with personally, and there is no question, he’s the best I’ve ever seen.

He’s 24 years old, has a B.S. in Computer Science and works full-time as a .NET and SQL developer. He works on his own projects in PHP and MySQL (what ygg’s built on) and is remarkably brilliant in both.

It was an honour and pleasure to work with Brandon and I can’t say anything other than, if you’re developing a website and in need of a professional and highly qualified developer, hire Brandon. There’s no better representation of bang for your buck out there.

If we could erect a shrine on YGG for Brandon we would, but for now, a little text link in the bottom right-hand corner of the site will have to do. ; )

Be sure to read and subscribe to his blog as well. From all of us, thank you Brandon.
