Sound familiar?

I have these strange moments when I’m coming off an all nighter. Most likely as a result of working through the night with the music cranked in my ears. Not sure if anyone has ever made this observation, but Stacy’s Mom by Fountains of Wayne sounds a little familiar, does it not?

    I can see (hear?) the similarity, however, you must remember that they both use a fairly generic rock rhythm and timing. I’m hoping that it’s purely coincidental :)

    Lol I love that video! But yeah you’re right the rhythm is similar but I dunno if they were copying. Anyway who cares…the video is so much better than the old version haha

    Dude, I am so tired. The intro of the Cars’ song was playing and as the verse began I started singing what I dazingly thought were the lyrics to Stacy’s Mom.

    If you demanding young go getters would let me sleep, I wouldn’t be sharing these questionable psychotic episodes with you! ;)
