Over the last couple of months, I've been planning a few web sites that I'd like to put up. The first is a golf site in which the main draw would be a tee time booker. i've contemplated going with an ousourced person to call in the booked time to the cc if they don't have e-mail, and just send an automated e-mail to those who do. i would generate business with a rewards program (think frequent-flyer, but golf instead of flying) which would give away very nice prizes to those with accumulated points... another site would be a blog geared towards the younger set that likes building up muscle cars. with all the attention given to the rice crowd (honda, mazda, w/e) i think that this is a very underserved niche, because there are plenty of those kids out there... another is a paintball site, which i talked about in another post, and would expand my local gun exchange... thanks for reading, give me your thoughts...

A golf site would be cool :) I ran http://www.thegolfvault.com for a while before selling it. Would you get tee times for your region? Nationally? I don't really understand what you're trying to do. The rewards program sounds cool though.

I have a friend who built himself a 1972 Chevelle SS and him and his dad have a 62 Corvette and a 73 Corvette along with about 4 or 5 other muscle cars - I think he'd definitely be happy if someone paid attention the muscle cars and not the ricers.

I'm sure Eric would be able to help with a paintball site, I don't know much about the topic other than playing a few times :)

thanks, ben, and as for the golf site, i was planning on offering just new england courses (MA, CT, RI, VT, NH, ME) for the first few months or so, and if that goes well, i want to go national, and then into europe and canada, and if it's going good after that, china and japan...

Ah as far as China/Japan goes I hvae heard horror stories about tee times there.

Someone told me they book tee times 2 years in advance at one point? That was years ago, and I may be forgetting details, but if that's true I'd try to avoid that area :)
