It's as close as you can get to an Infiniti without paying for an Infiniti. Me likes. Here's the write-up and some pics:

So are they going to drop the Z? Or is this simply the poor mans Z?

This is a poor mans Infiniti G35 Coupe - nothing like the Z, and they'll never get rid of that. It's a cult phenomenon!

    Never say never. lol.

It is nice to see cars like the solstice, sky, and altima embracing design without eating your wallet.

The Solstice is a piece of shit. Nice design, decent enough car - but a manual peel back convertible? WTF is this, the 1950's?

It was for pricing reasons. I'm sure they'll offer an auto roof eventually when they offer the turbos.

Yeah, I was only talking about design. Quality's another issue. But I think it's a good sign for what's to come in the future. The Sky has changed the appearance of every Saturn vehicle for the better. Hopefully Pontiac and the rest of the American family pick up throughout their lines.

I'm with you Travis. In the meantime, anyone know the pricing on this baby? I'm in the market for a new car in the next 12 months.

Should be in the $22,000 to $25,000 range.

Should be less than that....You can get an entry level Z at $28ish.

Travis, was that Cdn or US? I hate how cars cost more in Canada (adjusted for exchange rates of course).

Yea, I think it will be cheaper than $25K, cuz again, they've got to avoid cannibalizing the Z.

Nissan has to be careful - they've got too many similar vehicles in a close price range.

Has anyony seen the 2008 Infiniti G-35 Coupe (which is rumoring to come in a hard top convertible)??? I'm in love. :)

I'm thinking this thing is going to compete with the scion tc (or whatever the little sporty thing is) and toyota celica - and what would have been the Honda Prelude had they kept it around.
