Apparently while at a clinic she wrote 666 on her shaved head, ran around screaming "I am the Anti-Christ" and then tried to hang herself with a bed sheet.

Call it the Michael Jackson syndrome? Its really to bad that it turns out this way. There is way to much pressure put on these people by the media.

I have a bit of sympathy for celebs like her, but there are thousands of other A-listers that you hardly ever see in the media.
If you go to clubs, restaurants, and stores that the papa. camp in front of, you can't bitch about it.

Exactly. Not that I think what the Papa, Media, or Fans do is right but if you are going to places where you know they camp out then you are in some way wanting to be seen.

I am not so sure. It's really hard to know what you would do unless you are put in that position. It's easy to be an observer and say what you would do given those circumstances.
I would love to say I wouldn't go crazy like that but I will never know unless I get famous!
Plus I don't think its the money that makes people go nuts like that. I think it's the constant attention and pressure that is put on them by the media and the public. Look a certian way, behave a certian way ect... thats hard for anyone to handle let alone child stars. Thats why they rebel later in life because they never had the chance while they were teens.

I'd like to expand on the point of having money. Lots of people, most of us included I'm sure, seem to put others down for having it.
I've heard so many comments from people regarding celebs along the lines of "how can they be depressed with the money they have..." and I don't see what sense that comment has.
I completely agree with the phrase "money can't buy happiness" - sure it can buy lots of things to help make us happy, it makes life less stressful, but there is something else to happiness and it's that feeling inside that money can't buy.
Being a celeb or a millionaire doesn't turn you into an emotionless robot. Imagine going through something really paiful like a marriage break-up, you would want to try and move on and forget about things, but when you have the media reminding you of it all every day it becomes a million times harder.
So to sum up, how dare she do something like this when she's rich and famous? She has no right! lol

I would feel worse for her if she didn't flaunt out in the media and beg for the attention. The whole "oops I forgot to wear panties to several different parties with Paris Hilton" thing. Attention attention attention.
If she didn't want attention, she could get by with a lot less attention. Yes, she is a super star. But the blame isn't 100% the media. She could sit in her mansions behind closed doors and tell the media to f' off. She decided to make friends with bad influences like Paris Hilton -- whom the media also loves to hate -- so she has put herself in this situation.
She's got millions now. Go to rehab. Get therapy. Then walk away and be the southern girl you used to be.

But i think its her choice who she wants to be friends with, even if it was Paris Hilton. Not many other people being friendly and you know paris isn't just after her money. When you are depressed you reach out to anyone.
Staying inside all day out of the public view would keep her out of the media, but who wants to be a prisoner in there own home? Would have made her more crazy....
By no means am I defending her actions, I am just trying to present it form another point of view!
LM you are right, envy breed contempt. People that put her down for having all this money are usally people that want that fame or money.

When it comes to asking for all that media attention, that's part of the game. It's marketing. If we were in the position where we could make the cover of any magazine to promote our product (in her case herself/music) we'd do it in a second.
What the celebs can forget at times is that the paparazzi doesn't see a line between marketing time and personal time.
It's the same for them because the impromptu personal time pays more than the scheduled marketing shots.
They are the most materialistic assholes out there that don't have the slightest concern for privacy.
As Eric and I said before, when the time is right, we'll put a series together that turns the tables and stalks the photographers, takes pictures of their children at events and school, share their criminal records, and hound them 24/7.
