Anyone have any unique ideas for what I can do with this 2000 Deville Limo I just bought? I sorta bought it on a whim and figured what the hell, I'll find something to do with it. Just wondering if anyone has some unique ideas on how to get it producing some revenue. I'm interested to hear what ya'll come up with :)

Give it to me? :)
Seems like a standard limo service would work... no unique ideas at the moment, though.

I agree with KMulligan...j/j
All I can tell you is if I had a limo, I would keep a driver at the airport with it, and charge the same rates as taxi's, maybe a little more.
That seems to work well here in Houston. I don't know about Washington Eric...SORRY -

It's all good - Just trying to get some ideas down, perhaps doing something in college towns, etc. But yeah I've considered putting someone at the Airport with the limo and just taking people where they need to go for a great price. I already have a guy that'll do that too.

Maybe offer it to some friends for free or very cheap and get them to write some testimonials and start telling people they know about a great price on a limo, word of mouth marketing will get you a long ways :) The key is to find someone you know that seems like they know EVERYONE they run into, a "connector."
Maybe offer something unique in our limo, or advertise that the president rides in cadillacs? "Travel like the President." Something fun like that?
I don't much about limo services, but I do know that you should promote VERY heavily during prom season and during wedding seasons, those will be where you make the majority of your money.

I'm sorta stuck between making a quick $3,000 on the limo by selling it or keeping it and running it to make on-going cash. It's hard to do anything when you haven't made that decision yet, you know?

Determine your hourly cost to operate; gas, tax, insurance, driver, etc...
Then see if their are any unconventional ways you can provide limo rental. Go wild!

If you don't want it, I would certainly take it... But, unless you are in dire need of cash for something else now, or you can not create a profitable business with it, I would definitely keep it and use it rather than just selling it.

Yeah, I'm still pretty torn. I'm going to run an advertisement this weekend for it because if I can turn it quick and make a few G's, then I'm cool with that. But hey, if you want to buy it I'll sell it to you :)

If you are thinking about something in a college town, try and set something up with a couple strip clubs, start by doing a promotion, maybe VIP treatment. Just a thought, I know a lot of people at my school would chipin for a limo ride and vip treatment at a strip club.
Airport by day strip club by night?

Works for me except there are no strip clubs at Washington State University or University of Idaho. Hmmm...*light bulb turns on*

do you know the population? A strip club would be an interesting business to start, my friend Gagandeep, her parents own one in Toronto, she says that it is one of her fathers favorite businesses, besides from the reason of the girls.
Recruiting dances would be fun!!Casey

Yeah it would be interesting - the population is 50,000 during the school year and about 10,000 on the off season. That's just for WSU (Pullman, WA) - UoI is about the same, although I think they stay at about 20,000 on the off season. Don't quote me on that though.

For a population that size it would just be hard to find dancers that people would actually want to go see. But the idea is still probable.

Finding dancers is the easiest task of all, especially in a college town.

Yea from I guys point of view, (even though I have lost a lot of interest in strip clubs lately)building a strip club with nice looking girls would attract men regardless because college guys aare always drunk and horny. Plus there are always your single 30+ horny men out there that love strip clubs as well so the strip club idea would be good.
-
Agreed - interesting how you can go through phases of interest and then totally be uninterested and avoid the club like the plague isn't it?
