Been trying to upload it to my server for over an hour (huge files).
I couldn't access the new site in Firefox, Safari, or IE (caching on their server) but Opera did work.
Take a look at it and give it a try, if you can:

Been trying to install this all day long. No luck so far.
If you don't have at least PHP 5.2 on your server, you have to use a workaround for PHP4 which I've yet to get to click.

I've been trying to install as well...no luck. Getting a bunch of errors on my MT server, and no lucky using XAMPP locally on XP.
Let me know if you guys get it! Based on Magento's forum, it sounds like a lot of people are in the same boat. Ugh.

Any luck Travis? I'm also hosted on Media Temple. I've converted to PHP5, but am having problems with my other site, so I had to revert back to PHP4. I'm trying to use the CGI method that you mentioned above, but I keep getting 404 errors:

Just seeing if maybe you had better luck than I did? I can't even get it working with XAMPP on my local machine, with the method that everybody else can.

They have their demo store up for all of those who can't seem to get it installed. Not that the demo helps, but it gives you a taste - awesome stuff.

I did manage to get it to work. I have to try my steps over several more installations to confirm everything, but here's my guide in it's rough state:

Should work on any MediaTemple Dedicated Virtual (3.0) server.

It's a revolutionary system in the world of e-commerce, but is still a while away from being perfect.
I can't imagine how many bugs have been reported since last Friday, probably hundreds or thousands. But the Varien team seems to be taking it extremely seriously and responding to almost every request.
Hopefully it's in a stable state before Christmas.
