Off-Topic: I started to Twitter

    So by virtue of reading more and more about it in my feeds - everywhere from YGG to Scoble to Mashable - I decided to jump on the Twitterwagon.

    A secondary reason to that is that I've become so busy in my day-to-day work that blogging has unfortunately become lowest on my priority list. Twitter lets me say what I have to say, when I want to say it, without the need to explain it or write it out with depth.

    That makes my like Twitter. But from what I gather, it's no use unless your following others and vice versa.

    So 2 questions:

    1. What other YGGs here are Twittering?
    2. What are your favourite Twitter tools (I personally love the out-of-development Twitterbar on Firefox)
    3. What's the best "strategy" when it comes to your Twits (I think thats the word)?

    Do you really find it worth it? I haven't joined the bandwagon yet but wondering if it may be useful to help expand my blogs and network. Suggestions? Comments?

    What do you guys like about it so much?

    I've been surprised by how effective it has been at times. I've only been using my rss reader once a week for the past six months, so Twitter serves as a micro reader for the handful of a-listers I really care about.

    For the amount of effort it takes to post a thought a couple times a day, I think it's worth the seconds to network with other Twitterers and label yourself as a trendster.

    I think its been worth it so far, to the extent (like I said) that I didn't just test it out I totally ditched my blog for it.

    It lets me share quick thoughts, keep in touch with (and tabs on) everybody else around me, and generally keep connected.

    Just want to connect with more fellow marketers / Canadian peeps than random A-listers.

    This is why I'm hot.

    There is a WP plugin that posts a tweet with a link whenever you blog.

    On twitter you can post:
    * web
    * sms
    * instant messaging (jabber)
    * api

    I usually use gTalk or my cellphone, but I just recently installed the Twitter app in Facebook.
