    Is there a plugin or widget that you guys use to manage your paid advertisements on Wordpress based sites? I am working on finishing up the development of a new website and am going to be looking for some advertisers using 125x125 pixel images much like YGG and many other sites are using.

    What works best for monitoring the images and the traffic that they are getting?

    OpenAds, formerly known as phpAdsnew, is the best damn app out there for serving ads.

    We use it for the sidebar and YGG logo rotation. Works like a charm, is free, and pretty easy to install/use.

    Been using it for 2 years and will be for many more to come.

    Go get it!

    Some people say that OpenAds has quite a steep learning curve for the average n00b, but I havn't tried it out yet. That would probs be my first recommendation based on everyone elses.

    But also, checkout OIOPublisher - it's similar to a plugin I wanted to develop myself, but it seems to have all the modcons in a nice Wordpress plugin - I havn't used it myself though - just heard good things about it.

    OpenAds is pretty easy to use. The installation is much like Wordpress -- create a database, type the login info into your setup screen in a browser, installation is done.

    Once you're in the admin, you create zones for the different ads, then create clients for each ad. You can customize the frequency of the ads, periods they run so you don't have to manually delete expired ones, etc...

    You'll like it.
