As entrepreneur's we take risks all the time, but what was your first real major risk taken? I.E. quitting that cushy corp day job to achieve your dreams, etc?

Acquiring this site was a big risk for me. I have had to learn a lot in a short period of time to make it work. I just jumped in with both feet and so far it has gone well.

But I will admit there is still a lot of room for improvement.

Quiting my job and going full time entrepreneur. It's paying off but it is hard work and kind of slow.

To start a business you either have a lot of money or a lot of time to get things going.

Adding to that, having a great group of people around that are willing to help is also essential!

Risking (and subsequently losing) £1600 = $3200 on an import and eBay sell venture when I was 16.

    What an idiot.

Adnan, I can relate as my past venture cost me over 80K, but here I am again, this time I'm sticking to what I know: dot coms!

Hehe me too, and at $9 a pop for a domain (and with a marginal cost of hosting), I'm not really gonna be breaking the bank either!
