I am working on my new blog http://www.thepokerblog.net

Right now I'm still fixing a few IE bugs and a few spacing/margin problems as well as adding in the comment functionality and all that.

Right now it's got a few articles and a few pages, hoping to have it finished up this weekend :)

Let me know what you think of the design.

Thanks :) The content is what I'm really going to focus on. I want to do at least 1 post a day for the first few months.

I was thinking of starting a poker blog or something, I was gonna base mine off some poker info but to make it a little different I was gonna post some of the wild things that happen at the poker sessions I play at and seen. Its always crazy stuff happening in poker, flopping the nuts, getting runner, runner of the cards you need. Seen a dude need one card and one card only to win an all in pot, and you best believe that card came on the river. Like the site

I am an affiliate at Bodog, Noble Poker, PokerStars, Doyles Room, and Poker.com. Last month I earned about $450 from affiliate revenues, which wasn't bad for my second month.

This month I'm hoping to hit $600.

At some point I'll be selling the site - I'm waiting until it gets a solid PageRank and a higher number of unique visitors a day.

I've also got 25 people subscribiing to the RSS feed.

Just yesterday Google updated my site to a PageRank 5 - that's awesome! It's only been online for 3 months.

I built traffic initially by talking to a few people who run poker sites and exchanging links with them. I've been linking other quality sites as well and participating in the "poker community" by joining a few forums.

Also I am adding content all the time. We average at least one post a day, in September I think it was slightly more than that, maybe 1.3 posts a day? Google loves new content, it shows that your site is active and not a dormant informational site trying to make money with AdSense.

It wasn't really a magic forumla, I'm not an SEO expert and I don't focus really hard on building traffic, I'm only averaging about 60 uniques a day actually, and I get quite a few return visitors.
