Hard for me to believe Halo 2 isnt over 10 million yet??? They sold over 2 Million on opening day.

EDIT - just wiki'd it out of boredom and Halo 2 is 7.75Million and Halo at 6.61Million. Xbox's top two games ever in sales. Halo 3 (rumored to come out as early as October will automatically force me to get a 360). Microsoft wants it out before PS3 and Wii...

I was really surprised at this.

The creators of Runescape, the free online RPG... says they're worth around USD$60 million

Isn't it interesting that the top games have all been around basically since computer games started :) Can't the game designers come up with anything better?

I think they're waiting for the hardware technology to catchup :)

I am absolutely astounded that there is no Dragon Quest/Dragon Warrior game on that list.

Perhaps they are TOO dependant on the feature lists of the new technology and just need to forget it and come up with a FUN idea.

What would happen if todays game designers were told that they had to make a game that would play on a NES? Embracing the constraints. Then, if the idea was good enough they might still code it using the latest technology but they would at least have a good idea to start with.
