Has anyone worked with a remote development/design team? As in a team in Asia or something... Im of Armenian descent and I'm thinking about hiring a few people in Armenia for my new web studio. The quality of work is amazing for $10/hr.

Maybe I should just start freelancing before I get into this? Not sure... I'm the type of person that likes rushing things, and thats not ALWAYS good.

My agency has tried remote freelancers before to plug the hole here and there, but I wouldn't say its the best bet unless its really straightforward work. It's hard to coordinate, schedule, clarify, and such most of the time - unless you can really make use of some of the web2.0 tools out there to do so.

Any project that requires real involvement from the designer/developer is definitely better done with someone local.

    That's the short version anyhow...

    This is why I'm hot.
