WTF happened to the YE Forums lately? I think it was better the other way... btw this is a terrific site, and I think I'll be using this alot more for info...

I don't know - kinda looks like it's getting hacked up. I don't much care for change when it's that drastic. We are really going to strive to make this a good resource, with valuable information and good articles/links to solid deals for anything business related. We can't do it without the help of our members though, so thanks in advance for your continued support.

You know, we also realized that YE only has about 3-50 active posters, the rest are dormant and I think it's because the owners aren't very active in promoting it and keeping it fresh - that's what we're going to do differently here.

I will def. agree that YE has slowly started to get worse and worse and that is holding a lot of the smart people from wasting there time browsing or posting at the site anymore. Our goal here is to make sure everyone is acive in posting because everyone has there own opinions and thoughts that are very important.

I actually blocked YE so i couldn't visit it myself. since about a week ago, if you guys haven't noticed, I haven't posted there. I have recently found it a waste of time.

true... it used to be something that people could get together and bounce ideas off each other with no filler or any extras we didn't need, but now...

I haven't had the time to post on YE. And have also somewhat lost the interest in it. I find that it's just a lot of one time posters that throw the same questions up every day.

Isn't that the situation with any forum though? Once a forum starts getting traffic people arrive just to ask a question ... they don't bother to use the good ole search button.
What is funny is that they never return to find out the answer to their question.

Yeah and a lot of the times they block PM's or E-mail so you know they're not getting notification and they're never coming back

I was banned from YE back in October 2004 because of a small incident somebody started and then snithced and told the forum owners that I had threatened to hack their computer and kill them ... I knew it was all untrue so I didn't even argue 'nor did I find it was my place to explain a ridiculous event. The guy was jealous cause he wasn't the only person on the forums open up an urban apparel store and he said he wanted to be one.
Don't know what happened to him but if you ask me, YE sometime can get very childish.

YE has fu%@ed up my password for almost a month now I have to keep getting new ones at one point I couldn't login for like 2 almost 3 weeks and nowm they just messed up again so I jive like gave up posting on there since I can here. Also they don't seem to be having the greates of post like they did a little while back. So eric please don't start messing up my password :lol:

Not, they kept changing mines and try and throw me the excuse "Oh, its a security procedure" yet everybody had their same password and mines was the only one changed.

YE has deteriorated even more in the last 3 or 4 days. Looking at it tonight made me thankful for *ahem* the alternatives.

All of their forums are full of garbage posts and stupid questions, people trying to sell undeveloped domain names for $2000, ridiculous grammar. I really think that it is going to die, or at least become worth much less, within the next couple of months.

I don't wish harm upon them, they've been an OK resource and a place to talk til now, but there are a lot of one-time posters (which you can't help sometimes) and it's been VERY bogged down with the slang-talking brats that aren't going to be able to last long on this forum.
I guess you can call this an exclusive forum, because membership is not guaranteed just because you were able to click "Register".

You have to keep it exclusive to maintain the quality of the forum, so I think you are definitely taking the correct approach to this. And I of course don't wish harm to YE either, but in the 2 months that I have used it I really saw it change rapidly for the worse, and that usually happens because the admins do not do their job. If YE improved I would be back over there posting a lot, but YGG serves the same function in a much higher quality.
